IDPA Matches at NPCCC follow Official IDPA Rules

Competitors are required to bring an IDPA legal firearm & holster, spare magazines, ammunition, concealment garment, and eye & hearing protection.

First and Foremost is the requirement that shooters understand and demonstrate safe firearm handling. Skills required include: drawing from a holster, trigger finger control, reloading the firearm, unloading & “showing clear” then re-holstering the firearm. The shooter must abide by the “180 Rule”, discharge all rounds into the berm during the course of fire and follow commands from the safety officer (SO).

We wish to encourage new shooters to participate in this sport but learning the techniques required to do so are best obtained during non-competition visits to NPCCC. Shooters are encouraged to attend an Action Shooting Competition Seminar or receive similar training that will enhance our mutual safety. New shooters are welcome to visit our Saturday afternoon setups or assist with match scoring on Sunday as a means to gain familiarity with this sport.

See the Calendar or the Home page for a complete list of dates.
